Whistleblower Policy

1. Purpose and Commitment

UAB IO Ready is committed to fostering a transparent, ethical, and lawful work environment. This Whistleblower Policy is designed to:
 – Encourage the reporting of actual or suspected wrongdoing.
 – Provide clear and confidential reporting channels.
 – Protect whistleblowers from retaliation.
 – Ensure that reports are investigated fairly and objectively.

2. Scope

This Policy applies to all individuals associated with UAB IO Ready—including employees, contractors, consultants, volunteers, officers, and directors—whether operating internally or via bitreadypay.com. It also extends to third parties acting on the company’s behalf.

3. Reportable Concerns

The policy is intended to address serious issues such as:
 – Financial misconduct (e.g., fraud, money laundering, embezzlement)
 – Legal breaches (e.g., AML/CTF, data privacy, anti-bribery laws)
 – Ethical misconduct (e.g., discrimination, harassment, abuse of power)
 – Health, safety, and environmental risks
 – Cybersecurity and data breaches
 – Retaliation or cover-up of reported violations
 
 Routine HR concerns should be handled through internal grievance procedures.

 Anonymous reporting is permitted but may limit follow-up and clarification.
 Include, where possible:

5. Confidentiality

All reports are handled with strict confidentiality. Information is shared only with individuals essential to the investigation. The whistleblower’s identity will be protected unless disclosure is legally mandated.

6. Non-Retaliation Assurance

We strictly prohibit any form of retaliation—such as demotion, dismissal, or harassment—against anyone who reports a concern in good faith. Retaliation will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

7. Investigation Procedure

– Acknowledgment: Within 5 business days (if not anonymous)
 – Triage & Assessment: Determine scope and relevance
 – Investigation: Conducted independently and fairly
 – Outcome: Corrective action will be taken if necessary
 – Feedback: Whistleblower will be updated where appropriate

8. Responsibilities

All Staff – Report misconduct and support investigations
 Management – Promote a safe reporting culture
 HR Department – Support policy awareness and ensure non-retaliation
 Whistleblower Officer – Receive, assess, and manage cases
 Board/Senior Leadership – Oversight and resource allocation

9. Review Cycle

This policy is reviewed annually to maintain compliance with applicable laws and reflect best practices.
